Origin of Solnet Technologies

Solnet Technologies was started by Rajaraman Krishnan with the intention of meeting the need for cost effective, high quality research and development services in the area of networking technology. It was initially started to provide these services to Fujitsu Network Communications (FNC), USA. It was envisioned that having a team in India would reduce the cost of operations for FNC. The expertise gained has enabled Solnet Technologies to offer these services to other clients.

About the Managing Partner

The managing partner of Solnet Technologies, Rajaraman Krishnan, completed his Bachelors in Technology (Computer Science) from Indian Institute of Technology (Chennai) and his Masters in Computer Science from University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill).

He was working for Fujitsu Network Communications (FNC), Raleigh, North Carolina for over 6 years from March of 1994 to April of 2000. During this career he had the opportunity to work with several projects spanning several Fujitsu Branches. Rajaraman Krishnan was consistently rated one of the best engineers. He had demonstrated ability to lead projects delivering in time and with quality. During this time he has often been part of and lead teams that span multiple FNC sites.

Rajaraman Krishnan had long nursed the hope to return to India and setup a firm doing high quality research and development in the cutting edge of technology. Solnet Technologies was the result of implementing this vision.

Our strengths

Late 90s saw a worldwide boom in networking related technologies. The companies in this sector can be broadly classified into those that develop the infrastructure for this worldwide network and those that develop applications for the use of this infrastructure. Solnet Technologies would provide services and develop products in both the areas of this sector.

Network Management, Protocol stack support, Testing tools etc., while essential for the marketability of the Network Equipment are often out sourced.
